Edyta Ossowska

My adventure with this breed began in 2001, first as an owner of Saba – a bitch imported from Finland, and then as a breeder. Thanks to the families to whom I handed over my puppies, questions they asked and problems they had, I became a dog trainer and a behaviourist, giving up my original profession, and taking care of dogs full-time. After many years, my love for the breed led to obtaining a group VI FCI judge licence, starting my own training & handling school, and writing this book which sums up my knowledge acquired over the years. I hope that every owner and breeder may find something interesting on those pages.

The book is addressed to both owners and breeders. On 400 pages, you will find such topics as the breed history, its character, puppy choice, dog care, upbringing and nutrition, health issues encountered in the breed. The breeding part includes discussing the breed standard, anatomical structure and its impact on dog movement, the basics of genetics. I discuss such issues as preparing for reproduction, pregnancy, childbirth and rearing puppies. The PDF file made available to readers includes the table of contents and an excerpt from the first chapter of the book. Enjoy!
